Art Workshop- Artists Wanted!
Do you have an artistic talent or passion you would love to share? Do you enjoy painting, dancing, doing improv, visual arts or dramatic arts? Blair Court Community House is now accepting expressions of interest for volunteer dramatic and visual artists to help facilitate a one night workshop where they will share/teach their talent and passion to the children and youth of the Blair Court community in Spring of 2017 on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30PM. Volunteers must have dramatic or visual art experience as well as experience working with children. Experience working with diverse populations is an asset. Workshops will be held on a weekly basis between April 26 and June 21st.
Blair Court Community House is a small, non-profit multi-service organization located in a subsidized housing neighbourhood in the South-East area of Ottawa. Music lessons are one of the many programs we offer. Children and youth who might not otherwise have the opportunity, can attend free weekly, one-on-one 30 minute lessons. We are currently looking for a piano teacher who is available one afternoon/evening a week between 3-6pm. We are looking for somebody who would be available either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. For many of the children this is their first introduction to music. We are looking for an individual who has a strong knowledge of music and has experience working with children and/or youth.

We are looking to recruit 2 Homework Helpers one for each evening, Monday and Wednesday. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is comfortable helping students with different academic subjects.
